Sandspit’s History
Sandspit is a small, unincorporated community on Haida Gwaii, the unceded territory of the Haida people. The community is governed by the Regional District and community-based organizations. It is the only community on Moresby Island, and serves as a major hub for transportation, and accessing Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve and Haida Heritage Site.
