Summer is coming!We are looking forward to the Summer ahead… Bookings in local Inns are looking healthy, and we seem to see more and more visitors in the community. It is the time of year when everyone with a patch of greenery seems to be mowing daily as everything is growing so fast… On our end, it has been a little while since we communicated with all of you. As you probably all know, our hearts are still heavy with the passing of one of our Directors and dear friends, Ellen Foster, this January. Ellen joined our society at a time when our team was feeling somewhat discouraged and weary. Her positive energy, enthusiasm, and tenacity was a much needed uplifting addition, and she went on to spearhead several of our large, impactful community projects. Our community is a better place because of Ellen, and she will be very missed. Our little community has also seen the birth of little Josephine, daughter of Amber and Evan. Josephine's arrival into the world happened a little earlier than expected and Amber, our then Executive Director, had to step down from her position also earlier than anticipated. Our newly appointed interim Executive Director is Board Director Flavien, who will be taking over Amber’s duties while she is on maternity leave.
